October DDI meetings! I have 9 on the schedule for tomorrow so that means have 9 observations to do today. Busy in the school, but no place I’d rather be!
Finishing up the in-house teacher pulse check today and getting it sent out.
Looking forward to the academic plan review on Wednesday - grateful for all of your support
Thursday and Friday, with teachers out, I am excited to do work on my projects and get a couple of steps ahead.
Outings were facilitated and teacher lead all over the State! Turnout was great and all had a great time building relationships with students and families.
All tested students were uploaded to TV Action, looking forward to move into the implementation phase and using it!
A couple of things my observations:
Data is being used in the classroom, with passing rate team goals implemented and snapshots from the tracker
One teacher had brain breaks to encourage the kids to get up and move around after 10-15 minutes
In one class students were pestering the teacher to see if “Batman” was going to sub their class soon. LOL what a fun teacher to dress up like batman and sub her class.
Middle School passing rates are rising! Made me a little nervous there for a minute, it’s been tricky with the new platform and gradebook, but I think we’ve made progress in figuring those issues out.
Logins are staying steady and consistent which is a HUGE improvement from last year!
Class Connect attendance is steady with a slow increase, moving towards 80%
K5 progress, looking good, Math a little lower than last year but I’m fine with that because in talking to the teacher they are being very true to the DDI model and slowing down on some concepts that the whole group need more work on.
Class Connect attendance has increased 30-40%! It’s been an interesting shift for the teachers and we’re working to help them balance the new instruction requirements and the homeroom part of their jobs.
