Outings: We have had very little admin support in this area this year, please note the outing in your area and make an effort to attend to show our support.
Staff Call meetings are cancelled to free teachers up to attend outings on Friday
Tier 2 Groups Start: All tier 2 groups will get going this week
All Instructional levels will be loaded to the K8 sharepoint folder for Ops to help mass upload into Total View Action.
Teachers have been tasked to spend 20 minutes in edivate, going to as George for a report to see who does it this week so I can follow up with those who don’t next week.
All teachers are tasked to create 1 FAST running note. Admin will be doing total view walk through observations to see who has and who needs more information or friendly reminder
All teachers have been asked to consider submitting proposals for the promising practice conference and I think we as leaders should think about doing it as well! My mentor Tina Litell submitted a proposal for me and it was a surprise when I got the “congratulations you’ve been selected to present” email (LOL) but it was a great opportunity to present. We’re doing some cool things here and we should share. J
December DDI Meetings: The K8 admin team will be busy, busy this week conducting DDI meetings and doing observation feedback sessions with all of our teachers!
K5 we’re currently hovering around 75% passing rate and I’ve put out the challenge to move that to 80% with some specific action steps to implement to move us forward.
MS our biggest data challenge is our 8th grade Science. Working with that individual teacher weekly to put together action steps and follow up.
K5 our biggest data challenge is in the 4 strands of ELA. The teachers have their live sessions on some strands and then expect other strands to be completed independently. We’re in the process of creating structure around teachers monitoring those asych strands and insuring logins and participation.
Class connect attendance remains high 70% being the average!
Class connect hours looking okay. Last week’s data was difficult to really measure with the data being from the previous week where we had 2 days of PD. I look forward to the data this week that shows me what last week looked like so we can follow up with those falling below the 15 hour requirement.
Plans to pass emails will go out this week along with progress reports so the students are very aware of where they are and where they need to be with the end of the quarter 1 month away.
We ended with a 90%+ participation rate for CIA, not bad, but not the 95% we were hoping for. Through that process we realized we didn’t have a clear way for teachers to refer non-compliant students refusing to participate to administration. We have that in place and have 4 submissions we will be following up with this week.
We talked face to face about cleaning up the distractions in our live class connect sessions. There have also been reminders that have gone out in weekly updates and we are talking individually with every teacher during our DDI meetings to address specific concerns or conditions.
Celebrations and Successes in our Area:
Staff call was a HUGE success last week! We implemented what the teachers asked for and did a poster session of best practice idea share outs. All the ideas were great and will elevate us as a team.
